RE: Fan-Tastic Vent Customer Service - Excellent

Blue-line is another great company to deal with, When I sent them a email complaining about the blue connections on my sewer hose splitting(three years old), they said they were sorry to hear that and sent me a new hose and two replacement connectors. FREE!!!:B

RE: Monaco - Online Help changed overnight!

My coach has an access panel on in the side of the closet, you can get to the water valves, drain hose, and vent from here. Of course access to things like this is never real covenant, but you don't need to get in there everyday.

RE: Monaco - Online Help changed overnight!

There is no filter to access, the lint goes out the vent. That is why they tell you if you do the install yourself, that you make sure the vent runs down hill and never up hill, so it can blow the lint out.

RE: A new direction

Dianne, though we haven’t had a chance to meet face to face it has been to read of your adventures and your great tack in being the Mod for us. We have been only FT for 2yr’s. and I hope I have half as many great stories to tell my friends and family as you have shared with us. :)
Good luck with your new endeavors and please stay on as the MOD.

RE: Replacing Manual Awning with Power Awning

We have the Colorado Carefree Eclipse, Electric awning, not the automatic one. Had manual ones before, never again. With the Carefree at the push of a button the DW can open it or close it if she wants. It has 6 positions on both arms that you can set from flat out to about a 2’ drop at the roller tube. It will also dip one end to dump rain if it starts to pool. The thing I like about the Carefree is I don’t walk in to the arms or smack my head on them any more.
I was taking a seminar at a rally this spring with a tech from Carefree. He stated that the Eclipse was rated to withstand wind of up to 70 mph! At that time the wind came up as if on queue and the awning billowed up and popped back in place and he stood there and smiled and said that is just what it was designed to do. He said that while it was designed to work that way you would probably not want to listen to it pop in and out. Next coach will have to have a Carefree, deal breaker.

RE: Acc switch

Is it ACC or ICC, the ICC would be to flash a thank you with the rear lights when the driver you pass thinks you have room to pull back to the right lane. Just like the BIG trucks do.

RE: Fuel Filter,s

The primary should be on the left, but a better way to tell is the primary will have a black or clear cap on the bottom part of the filter and will have a thumb wheel on the bottom of the filter cap. You turn the wheel to open and drain, catch the fuel in a glass jar and after it settles if there is any water you will be able to see it on the bottom. A good idea is to carry a spare primary.
Another great resource for help in do it yourself repairs and maintenance is the Ramblin’ Pushers Chapter 419 of the Holiday Rambler Recreational Vehicle Club. Chapter 419 is chartered as a special interest chapter under HRRVC with the purpose of educating and exchanging information on Holiday Rambler diesel motor home operation and maintenance. The site is http://ramblinpushers.org ; they also have a Yahoo Ramblin’ PushersChapter 419 E-Group you can join.

Another vote for Terri she can and will do it all for you.
Great price, been with her over 2 years now. We would only switch if Terri came with it.

RE: Holiday Rambler (Monaco) Door Latch Arm Question

I just tune up the arm on my door with 2 pairs of channel locks, a little tweaking and it is good as new. Monaco tech at the HR Diesel Pusher rally showed me how to do it.

RE: full timers from michigan please

We were from Michigan, now we just visit.
We have been fulltimers with My Dakota Address now for over 2 years. They also have all the contacts and are across the street to all the things you may need to set "housekeeping" in SD. One call to Terri Lund and she can start setting you up in SD. She will have all the paper work filled out for your signature and send it to you or have it ready when you stop by to have your driver license picture taken.

RE: air system on DP losing pressure

Freightliner was using a quick disconnect system on their air lines, I had one on my 04 Coachman that popped off when I had to hit the brakes real hard, (emergency brake!) one time, talk about a fun few minutes!! We where near Freightliner shop in Ohio, the repair man just plugged it back in, took longer to do the paper work than the job.

Look for a ground fault plug, it is most likely in the bathroom or near the kitchen sink. It probley needs to be reset (the little red button popped out).

RE: 2009 Dutch Star/ 2009 HR Endeavor

If it seems like a little problem now!!!
Any problem you have with any coach now will only seem to get more aggravating as time goes on. Don't buy any coach that has problems you think you "can learn to live with'.
Both are good manufactures and all RV Companies are having to adjust by downsizing their work force. If they say they are not changing for market demand they are BS'ing somebody! Times are tough across the board except for maybe the millon $$ plus coach's, but they are usally made to order!

RE: Quartzite BLM Camping

People come over the whole winter month's, some stay a few day's some week's other stay for month's. They all don't arrive the same day. There are a number of kiosks in different directions from town. Also the 150k number is more of an estimated over the winter number. Last winters numbers where way down, anywhere from 20 to 45% (estimated). mainly do to factors like fuel prices, the BLM now charging to park there and to the rip off prices that many(not all)of the places's in town charge! Rumors are that many are now going to 'The Slabs" in CA.
